Veterinary Technician Assistant who shares our commitment to compassionate medicine and outstanding client service to join our fast-paced
Emergency team in Newmarket, Ontario. Our hospital is open 24 hours, seven days a week; therefore, this role may include a variety of daytime, overnight, weekend, and holiday schedules.
What You Will Do
As an important part of our emergency team, you will keep our hospital running smoothly and ensure our patients receive top-tier care. You will:
- Support emergency triage and exams, helping our medical team assess and comfort incoming patients promptly.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures to help us get the answers our patients need.
- Prepare patients and surgical suites for emergency procedures, ensuring a sterile and efficient environment.
- Provide compassionate care and comfort to our hospitalized patients.
- Help at the front desk when needed, answering phones, welcoming clients, and assisting with emergency billing.
What You Bring
- A warm, compassionate heart with exceptional client service skills and a nurturing approach to pet care.
- A Veterinary Assistant (VA) certificate or equivalent technical assistance clinical experience is an asset.
- A calm, flexible presence under pressure, with the ability to problem-solve and prioritize when things get busy.ort our veterinary team with daily treatments.
- Must have flexible schedule availability to work a variety of shifts, which may include daytime, overnight, weekends and holidays.
- Exceptional communication skills and a warm, professional, collaborative approach with both clients and team members.
