If you thrive on translating raw donor data into actionable strategic insights to improve donor acquisition, retention and lifetime value, this position is for you.
A Typical Day
Reporting, Analytics & Insights – 25%
- Build, maintain, and automate regular performance dashboards tracking key fundraising metrics (response rate, average gift, net revenue, ROI, cost-per-dollar-raised, retention rate, and churn).
- Perform deep-dive evaluations post-campaign to identify trends, channel effectiveness, and donor behaviour across direct mail, digital, and monthly giving programs.
- Analyze donor cohorts, giving levels, and lifetime value (LTV) to uncover opportunities for mid-level upgrades, lapsed donor win-back, and monthly donor conversion.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly analytical summaries to inform future budget allocations and campaign strategy.
Audience Segmentation & List Management – 50%
- Lead list selection and data queries within our CRMs for all direct marketing and email campaigns, ensuring accurate segmentation, ask-string logic, and suppression lists.
- In collaboration with the Manager, Digital Fundraising and the Director, Annual Giving, establish A/B testing models to evaluate messaging, call-to-action, ask amounts, and channel timing.
- Partner with the Database Administrator to ensure data integrity, consistent coding, and accurate attribution of annual gifts.
Program Strategy & Forecasting – 25%
- Model annual giving projections and scenario forecasts during budget planning cycles.
- Track donor funnel movement (Acquisition → Second Gift → Recurring → Mid-Level) and recommend data-driven retention strategies.
- Monitor industry benchmarks to measure organizational performance against sector standards.
Set up for Success!
